The Allied 5MP Dark Defender Camera steps up image detail for customers who need to cover wider entrances, parking approaches, sales floors, workshops or larger residential exteriors. Its 2.8mm fixed lens sees 109.1 degrees horizontally, while the 5MP sensor records more scene information than a standard 1080p camera for closer review after an event.
At full TVI or AHD resolution, the camera produces a 2592 x 1944 image at 20 frames per second. CVI supports 2880 x 1620 at 25 frames per second, and compatible systems can select 4MP or 1080p at up to 30 frames per second when smoother motion or lower storage use is the priority. Allied Home Security matches the signal mode, resolution and frame rate to the recorder so the finished system works as one plan.
Within Allied’s Dark Defender surveillance line, this 5MP model balances stronger daytime evidence with dependable infrared coverage after dark. LightHunter processing and a 1/2.7-inch sensor preserve useful low-light detail before two Smart IR illuminators take over in complete darkness, providing black-and-white night viewing up to 131 feet.
The built-in microphone carries audio over coax in supported TVI and CVI modes, while the BNC output can switch among TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS for broad recorder compatibility. Motion, object-detection, perimeter and video analytics come from a compatible DVR/XVR. DWDR, Smart IR, 4kV surge protection, an IP67 enclosure and a -22 to 140 degrees F operating range prepare the camera for reliable indoor or outdoor service at homes and businesses.
