When a wider scene needs more detail than standard 1080p can provide, the Allied 5MP Color Night Vision Defender Camera gives homes and businesses a stronger recording source for broad driveways, building approaches, sales floors, workshops and parking areas. Its 2.8mm lens captures a 111.5° horizontal view, while the 5MP sensor leaves more image information available when footage must be reviewed after an event.
At full TVI or AHD resolution, the camera records 2592 x 1944 video at 20 frames per second. CVI mode can deliver 2880 x 1620 at 25 frames per second, and compatible systems may use 4MP or 1080p at up to 30 frames per second when smoother motion or lower storage use is the better fit. That flexibility lets the camera match the capabilities and recording plan of the connected DVR or XVR.
Allied’s Color Night Vision Defender cameras are made to retain color after dark; this 5MP model pairs a 1/2.7-inch sensor and F1.4 aperture with two warm-white illuminators that reach up to 131 feet. Because those illuminators use visible light rather than infrared alone, the camera can produce full-color images even when the surrounding scene has no usable ambient light.
The built-in microphone carries audio over coax in supported TVI and CVI modes, and the BNC output switches among TVI, AHD, CVI and CVBS for broad recorder compatibility. A compatible recorder can add motion detection, smart-object filtering and video analytics. DWDR, 4kV surge protection, an IP67 enclosure and a -22 to 140 degrees F operating range round out a camera designed for reliable indoor or outdoor service.
