Description
For an exterior door, driveway, side yard or small storefront, the Allied 2MP Color Night Vision Defender Camera keeps familiar 1080p video while preserving more useful color after daylight fades. Two built-in warm-white illuminators support full-color viewing even at 0 lux, giving the recorder color information that conventional infrared footage would render in shades of gray.
The 2.8mm fixed lens covers 101.5° horizontally, a practical angle for watching an entrance and the activity around it without turning the scene into an extreme wide-angle view. Its 1/2.9-inch sensor records 1920 x 1080 video at up to 30 frames per second, while DWDR, backlight compensation, highlight compensation, 2D/3D noise reduction and digital defog help the camera handle uneven lighting and difficult weather.
This is the practical 1080p model in Allied’s Color Night Vision Defender camera family. It sends video through a BNC coax connection to a compatible DVR or XVR, and the built-in microphone can carry synchronized audio over the same coaxial run in supported TVI and CVI modes. The camera does not need Wi-Fi to deliver video to the local recorder.
A compatible recorder can add motion detection, smart-object filtering and video analytics to the recorded system. IP67 weather protection, 4kV surge protection, a metal-front turret housing and an operating range from -22 to 140 degrees F prepare the camera for dependable indoor or outdoor use at both homes and businesses.
