Resolution
Higher resolution records more pixels in each frame, which gives you more detail to work with when reviewing faces, vehicles, packages, and activity.
Resolution labels describe output dimensions. Aspect ratio, lens quality, sensor quality, lighting, compression, and recorder settings also affect usable image detail.
Field of View
The centered overlays compare this product's horizontal coverage with a representative industry average and the widest security camera in the Eco Smart catalog.
- This Product
- 107° horizontal
- Average
- 105° horizontal
- Max
- 180° horizontal*
*180° horizontal coverage generally requires a dual-lens panoramic camera.
Coverage is a centered visual comparison, not a lens simulation. Placement and mounting angle also affect the final view.
Night Vision
Night-vision technologies solve different problems. Compare the same scene below; this product's supported modes are highlighted.
On this product
IR Night Vision
Black-and-white visibility without visible light, ideal for discreet overnight monitoring.
Dual Light
Uses IR normally, then activates a spotlight for full-color detail when it matters.
Color Night Vision
Retains useful color from ambient light without requiring a visible spotlight.
Ultra Color Night Vision
Advanced low-light processing preserves the clearest color and background detail in very dark scenes.
The examples explain relative viewing modes. Actual brightness, color, and range depend on the camera, placement, and available ambient light.
Night Viewing Range
The bird's-eye property guide shows how the camera's listed nighttime range extends outward from its mounting point.
"Up to" is the manufacturer-listed maximum viewing or illumination distance. Recognizable detail may be shorter and varies with lighting, night-vision mode, weather, placement, lens settings, and obstructions.
Description
The EC-T8F28M offers 8MP video at 3840 x 2160 and 15 fps in a 126 mm-diameter turret. Its 2.8 mm lens covers 107 degrees horizontally, and the manually adjustable three-axis housing helps align the view during installation.
The IP67 enclosure supports outdoor use, with 120 dB WDR for difficult lighting and Smart IR rated to 30 m. Human-based line-crossing and intrusion detection help identify relevant activity. A built-in microphone and microSD support up to 512 GB add local recording capability, while PoE carries power and network data over the Ethernet connection.
