Resolution

See the Difference More Pixels Make

Higher resolution records more pixels in each frame, which gives you more detail to work with when reviewing faces, vehicles, packages, and activity.

Night Vision

What You Can Expect After Dark

Night-vision technologies solve different problems. Compare the same scene below; this product's supported modes are highlighted.

IR Night Vision view of a backyard at night On this product

IR Night Vision

Black-and-white visibility without visible light, ideal for discreet overnight monitoring.

Dual Light view of a backyard at night On this product

Dual Light

Uses IR normally, then activates a spotlight for full-color detail when it matters.

Color Night Vision view of a backyard at night On this product

Color Night Vision

Retains useful color from ambient light without requiring a visible spotlight.

Ultra Color Night Vision view of a backyard at night

Ultra Color Night Vision

Advanced low-light processing preserves the clearest color and background detail in very dark scenes.

The examples explain relative viewing modes. Actual brightness, color, and range depend on the camera, placement, and available ambient light.

How Far Can This Camera See at Night?

A football field is 300 feet from goal line to goal line. The far end zone extends this comparison to 330 feet.

"Up to" is the manufacturer-listed maximum viewing or illumination distance. Recognizable detail may be shorter and varies with lighting, night-vision mode, weather, placement, lens settings, and obstructions.

Frame Rate

Description

The Allied 8MP Dual-Lens 25X Active Deterrence PTZ Camera solves a common problem with movable cameras: following the detail can mean losing the overall scene. This model combines a fixed 4MP overview channel and a separate 4MP PTZ detail channel through one IP connection. The result is two independent views at the same time, not a stretched or stitched 8MP image, so customers can retain the context of a driveway, parking area, yard or worksite while the PTZ channel examines activity more closely.

The fixed channel uses a 4mm F1.0 lens with a 94.9-degree horizontal field of view. The PTZ channel uses a 4.8-120mm motorized lens, moving from a 55.46-degree view to a tight 3.09-degree view with 25X optical zoom. With 360-degree pan, -15 to 90-degree tilt and movement up to 80 degrees per second, Allied’s dual-lens 25X PTZ camera can keep the full approach visible while repositioning its detail view toward a gate, vehicle lane, loading area or distant section of the property.

The two channels also work together intelligently. A Smart Intrusion Prevention rule on the fixed lens can trigger the PTZ channel to track the person, vehicle or non-motor vehicle that caused the event. The PTZ supplies 1,024 presets plus 16 preset, 16 route and 16 recorded patrols, giving the system structured ways to revisit priority views even when no event is active. This linked design is especially useful on large homes, ranches, warehouses, campuses and parking areas where both context and close detail matter.

Each channel records up to 2688 x 1520 at 30 frames per second with 120 dB wide dynamic range. The fixed channel’s large 1/1.8-inch sensor and F1.0 lens reach 0.0005 lux and provide warm-light color illumination up to 98.4 feet. The PTZ channel uses a 1/2.7-inch sensor, LightHunter processing and smart infrared up to 328.1 feet. Dual-light coverage lets the system use full-color illumination for the nearby overview and long-range infrared for the movable detail view.

Sound-and-light warning gives the camera an active response as well as a recording role. The built-in speaker can deliver an audible warning, while the warm light provides a visible deterrent. Two-way audio is supported through the built-in speaker and an external audio input; a compatible microphone is required because one is not built in. The camera also includes one audio output, two alarm inputs, one alarm output and RS485 for deeper integration.

Smart features include line-crossing and intrusion detection with person, vehicle and non-motor-vehicle classification, Ultra Motion Detection, face snapshots, people-flow counting, crowd-density monitoring, motion, audio, tampering, object-left-behind and object-removal events. Scene-change detection is supported on the fixed channel. Footage can be stored on a microSD card up to 512GB or sent to a compatible NVR or ANR system. PoE+ or 12V DC power, an IP66 enclosure, 4kV surge protection and operation from -40 to 149 degrees F prepare it for demanding outdoor use. Allied Home Security configures the overview, tracking rules, patrols, zoom positions and deterrence response around the actual property, so both channels work as one purposeful surveillance plan.
