Description
The Alarm.com ADC-VC8498PA brings adjustable framing to a durable Prism Series dome. It is designed for entrances, reception approaches, corridors, parking structures and exterior areas where a lower-profile camera is preferred but a fixed wide lens would include too much of the surrounding scene. 8MP Ultra HD resolution and a 1/1.8-inch Sony STARVIS 2 sensor provide a strong foundation for identification and incident review.
Its motorized varifocal lens adjusts from 110.4 degrees to 45.1 degrees horizontally, so Allied can widen the view for a lobby or tighten it around a doorway, parking entrance or controlled lane after the mounting position is established. In office security and surveillance, that range helps one dome fit very different locations without forcing every camera to use the same framing.
VividNight technology keeps more color information in low light, HDR manages scenes with strong contrast, and integrated infrared illuminates complete darkness to approximately 131 feet. Video Analytics 2.0 supports meaningful object-based alerts, while compatible plans can add Business Activity Analytics, Perimeter Guard audio, Remote Video Monitoring and AI Deterrence. The camera includes a microphone; full two-way talk-down requires the optional ADC-VACC-AO-015 audio cable, an external speaker and supported service.
Cloud clips, encrypted onboard microSD recording and compatible SVR recording give Allied room to tailor retention around the site instead of forcing a single storage method. Supported microSD cards reach 1.5 TB with qualifying firmware, and Smart View provides a searchable local recording timeline. The camera uses standard 802.3af PoE, and its IP66, IK10 and NEMA 4X-rated enclosure supports indoor or outdoor installations where weather and reachable mounting locations are concerns.
