The Alarm.com ADC-VC7398PA is a Prism Series bullet camera for drive lanes, loading areas, gates, parking entrances and long exterior approaches where both image detail and precise framing matter. Its 8MP Ultra HD image and large 1/1.8-inch Sony STARVIS 2 sensor preserve more usable information for reviewing faces, vehicles, clothing and activity across demanding scenes.
A motorized varifocal lens moves from a wide 110.4-degree view to a focused 45.1-degree view, allowing the installer to concentrate available pixels on the area that matters instead of recording unnecessary wall, sky or pavement. That flexibility is especially valuable in commercial video surveillance designs that must cover a specific gate, loading lane or perimeter approach without sacrificing 4K detail.
VividNight technology maintains natural color in low light, while integrated infrared provides black-and-white visibility in complete darkness at distances up to approximately 131 feet. Video Analytics 2.0 can filter events by selected object types, and compatible service plans can add Business Activity Analytics, Perimeter Guard audio, Remote Video Monitoring and AI Deterrence. A built-in microphone and line-level audio input/output support full-duplex communication when the system is paired with the required external speaker and service configuration.
Customers can use cloud clips for important events, encrypted onboard microSD recording for a continuous local timeline, or a compatible Stream Video Recorder for centralized recording. Supported microSD storage reaches 1.5 TB with qualifying firmware. A 10/100 Ethernet connection carries network data and 802.3af PoE over one cable, while IP66/IP67 weather protection, IK10 impact resistance and NEMA 4X construction prepare the camera for exposed Texas installations.
