Resolution
Higher resolution records more pixels in each frame, which gives you more detail to work with when reviewing faces, vehicles, packages, and activity.
Resolution labels describe output dimensions. Aspect ratio, lens quality, sensor quality, lighting, compression, and recorder settings also affect usable image detail.
Description
The NVR502-08B-P8 gives an eight-camera system two internal drive bays and a 130 W shared PoE budget. Its Gigabit uplink and 320 Mbps incoming bandwidth allow more aggregate recording traffic than the single-bay NVR501 model.
For local viewing, HDMI and VGA operate independently, and HDMI supports 4K output. The current manufacturer specification includes RAID 1. Event-search functions rely on supported camera-generated analytics; this is the non-IQ model, not a substitute for an NVR-side analytics engine.
