The Honeywell Home 270R is a finger-operated hardwired hold-up switch intended for discreet mounting beneath a counter or work surface. Pressing the plunger can silently activate the programmed emergency zone without drawing attention to the user, making the device relevant to retail counters, offices, financial desks, and other staffed locations.

Double-pole, double-throw contacts support multiple supervised circuit arrangements, and the switch can operate as a latching device or be converted to momentary action. The supplied key resets a latched activation and supports controlled testing. Adhesive pads hold the case temporarily during layout, but permanent screw mounting is required for the finished installation.

A hold-up button should be positioned where authorized staff can reach it naturally and accidental operation is unlikely. You must program and test it as part of a broader panic-button strategy, including the exact zone response, monitoring instructions, contact wiring, and staff procedure.
