Description
The DSC PG9944 combines outdoor motion detection with image capture so an alarm can include visual context instead of only a zone name. Eight independent quad PIR elements use True Motion Recognition to evaluate activity across a 40-foot, 90-degree pattern, while the integrated CMOS camera captures QVGA images after detection or through supported on-demand functions.
Day/night imaging includes infrared illumination to approximately 33 feet in total darkness. Smart anti-masking distinguishes attempts to cover the detector from rain, and the housing is engineered for outdoor temperatures from -40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit. Pet immunity up to 40 pounds, front/removal tamper, adjustable aiming, and two CR17450 batteries round out the exterior design.
Drive approaches, fenced yards, service alleys, and exterior equipment areas often benefit from seeing what caused an alarm.
