DSC PG9862 PowerG 360-Degree Ceiling PIR Motion Detector

The DSC PG9862 places motion detection at the center of the ceiling, creating a 360-degree circular pattern instead of aiming from one wall. With coverage up to 32.8 feet in diameter, one properly positioned detector can watch a small or midsize room while keeping wall surfaces visually uncluttered.

True Motion Recognition helps distinguish intruder movement from environmental disturbances, and compatible systems can receive temperature and light-level reports from the same device. A CR123A battery provides up to five years of typical service, while AES-128 encrypted PowerG communication, tamper supervision, and a visible link-quality indicator simplify installation and maintenance.

The ceiling format works well in open living areas, finished basements, reception rooms, and interior spaces where wall furniture would interfere with a conventional sensor. As part of an Allied home security system, the PG9862 can provide broad overhead coverage without asking the customer to work around a prominent wall-mounted detector.
