DSC LC-224 UL/ULC Hardwired Dual-Tech Motion Detector

The DSC LC-224 is the UL/ULC-focused member of the LC dual-technology family. A fully digital PIR and low-noise microwave module work across a 49-foot, 100-degree pattern, giving the installer the option to require dual confirmation before the Form C alarm relay changes state.

Pet immunity supports animals up to 33 pounds, though that feature is not evaluated by UL/ULC. Digital white-light filtering, temperature compensation, high RFI resistance, a pulse counter, creep-zone coverage, case and wall tamper protection, and DEOL wiring options help the detector fit supervised residential and commercial burglary systems. The listed operating range is 32 to 120 F with 9 to 15V DC input.

The Form C relay can be useful when a panel or retrofit design needs both normally closed and normally open alarm contacts at the detector. Allied can incorporate the LC-224 into a new wired layout or an existing system takeover, then verify standby power, relay logic, microwave range, and the full walk-test pattern before the zone is placed in service.
