Description
The System Sensor COSMO-2W combines a photoelectric smoke chamber and electrochemical carbon-monoxide cell in one system-connected detector. Used with the required COSMOD2W interface, it sends distinct smoke, CO, and optional trouble information to a compatible alarm panel instead of reducing both hazards to one generic zone.
Smoke events use a temporal-three tone and red LED; carbon-monoxide events use temporal four and a blue LED. RealTest allows a technician to verify that canned CO reaches and activates the sensing cell, while the field-replaceable CO module carries a typical ten-year end-of-life timer. Drift compensation and smoothing algorithms support stable smoke sensitivity, and the two-wire loop can use EZ Walk verification.
For homes and small businesses, one coordinated detector can reduce wall and ceiling clutter while preserving the correct monitored response for each hazard. It is Recommended to verify the interface-module capacity, listed panel connection, detector spacing, sounder behavior, and central-station signals before placing the zone in service.
