Description
The System Sensor 5602 is the high-temperature fixed/rate-of-rise model in the 5600 mechanical heat-detector family. Its fixed element activates at 194 F, while the restorable rate-of-rise section responds to a rapid temperature increase of approximately 15 F per minute.
That higher fixed threshold makes the 5602 useful in property-protection locations that normally run warmer than living or office spaces and where a smoke detector would be unsuitable. Exterior lettering identifies the temperature and activation method, and the external collector drops after an alarm so a technician can quickly locate the operated device.
The detector supports several common back boxes through its reversible bracket and uses straightforward 14-22 AWG terminal screws. Allied selects the model only after reviewing the normal ambient temperature, ceiling conditions, listed spacing reductions, and local requirements.
