Description
The Honeywell Home 5800SMOKEV is a multi-criteria wireless smoke and heat detector designed to respond to different fire conditions while reducing common cooking nuisance alarms. Its photoelectric chamber detects smoke, the fixed-temperature channel alarms at 135 F, and the rate-of-rise channel responds above 104 F when temperature increases by 15 F per minute.
The detector reports smoke/heat on its primary fire loop and can provide separate maintenance and low-temperature zones when the compatible panel is programmed for them. Base tamper, low battery, end-of-life, contaminated-chamber maintenance, and 60- to 70-minute supervision help the system identify conditions that need service. A local 85 dBA temporal-3 sounder and bi-color LED provide on-device alarm and status indication.
As part of Allied’s monitored smoke detector installation, the 5800SMOKEV is placed and tested for both detection and radio performance before the fire zone is put into service.
