Description
The Ecolink WST-600 FireFighter listens for the standardized alarm tones produced by an existing UL-listed smoke or carbon-monoxide detector. When it confirms a Temporal 3 smoke pattern or Temporal 4 CO pattern, it transmits the corresponding signal to a compatible DSC 433 MHz system for the programmed local and monitored response.
The sensor mounts with its listening ports facing the existing alarm’s sounder and must remain within six inches for proper operation. One FireFighter may monitor an interconnected alarm group because all sounders activate together; non-interconnected alarms require a listener at each sounder that needs monitoring. Separate smoke and CO serial-number programming allows the panel to distinguish the two alarm types.
This device can extend monitoring around existing smoke and CO alarms without replacing their primary sensing function.
