2GIG SMKT-900 E+ Smoke, Heat and Freeze Detector

The 2GIG SMKT-900 combines photoelectric smoke detection with fixed-temperature heat, rate-of-rise heat, and low-temperature warnings on the E+ platform. Its optical chamber is designed to improve recognition of smoke from common synthetic materials while reducing dependence on a single type of fire signature.

One Go/All Go communication allows enrolled E+ smoke detectors to sound together when one unit enters alarm, increasing urgency across a larger property. The local alarm exceeds 85 dB at 10 feet, and the device also reports high heat, rapid temperature rise, and freeze conditions to the compatible panel.

Two-way encrypted 900 MHz signaling reaches up to 1.2 miles in open air with a 2GIG EDGE panel running firmware 1.3 or newer. The current manufacturer page and datasheet disagree in one place on projected battery life; the detailed feature specification consistently states up to three years, which is the value used here.
