Description
The DSC WLS922L-433 is designed to recognize the acoustic signature of breaking framed glass while rejecting many ordinary household and workplace sounds. Dynamic signal processing supports plate, tempered, wired, and laminated glass, making the detector useful when several windows need protection without placing a contact on every pane.
Installer-selectable Level 1 and Level 2 settings balance range against false-alarm immunity. Level 1 reaches up to 20 feet for supported glass, while Level 2 reduces the range to 10 feet in smaller or more reflective rooms; wired or laminated glass is limited to Level 1. Direct line of sight, room acoustics, window coverings, and mounting position all affect performance, so the final location must be tested with the DSC AFT-100 simulator.
As part of a professionally configured home security system or small-business installation, Allied verifies both acoustic response and 433 MHz communication from the mounted position.
