Description
The DSC PGP9922 adds acoustic glass-break protection around windows and glazed doors without attaching a sensor to each pane. Its omnidirectional microphone listens for the characteristic low-frequency flex and breaking-glass sound pattern across rooms up to 40 x 40 feet, with a maximum listed range of 25 feet when glass size and placement meet the published requirements.
The detector supports plate, tempered, wired, laminated, coated, and sealed insulating glass. PowerG+ features include battery-level reporting, OTA firmware updates, QR enrollment, and temperature/level reports on supported panels, while back tamper and a periodic microphone self-test help keep the device’s status visible.
Allied can layer the PGP9922 with door/window contacts in a home security system so the perimeter is not dependent on a single type of detection.
