Bosch DS1103I Flush-Mount Glass Break Detector

The Bosch DS1103I provides the same signal-focused approach as Bosch’s surface glass-break detectors in a rectangular flush-mounted enclosure. Sound Analysis Technology evaluates frequency, timing, and acoustic signature before declaring a framed-glass event, helping the detector separate a qualifying break from ordinary room noise.

Coverage extends up to 25 ft for plate, tempered, laminated, and wired glass that meets the documented size and thickness requirements. The detector can recess into a standard single-gang box or the supplied mounting ring, leaving only about 0.25 in of depth visible. A magnetic test mode, automatic environmental test, external LED, and clap-activated sound check support placement and routine verification. The alarm output is a normally closed relay powered from 9-15V DC.

This format is useful when visible surface hardware would interrupt a finished office, lobby, or residence. During an existing system takeover, Allied can confirm that the old opening, wiring, and panel loop suit the DS1103I, then retest the farthest pane after the walls and furnishings are back in place.
