Description
The 2GIG GB1E-900 brings dual-stage glass-break detection to the E+ extended-range platform. Its microphone listens for the impact and shattering sequence associated with plate, tempered, laminated, or coated glass, helping reject sounds that match only one part of a true break.
The detector covers eligible glass within a 15-foot radius and offers installer-adjustable sensitivity for different room acoustics. Ceiling mounting provides 360-degree listening, while wall mounting provides 180-degree coverage, allowing the layout to be matched to the actual windows instead of forcing a generic placement.
Two-way encrypted 900 MHz communication reaches up to 1.2 miles in open air when paired with a 2GIG EDGE panel running firmware 1.3 or newer. Walls, metal, window treatments, and ambient noise reduce practical range and acoustic coverage, so Allied tests both RF communication and glass-break response after installation.
