Qolsys IQ Temp-S High/Low Temperature Sensor

The Qolsys IQ Temp-S watches for two environmental conditions that can become expensive quickly: a space dropping below 40 F or rising above 100 F. Those thresholds can provide early notice of a failed furnace, air conditioner, thermostat, or other problem before pipes, pets, equipment, or stored items are affected.

The low- and high-temperature functions enroll with separate IDs, allowing the panel to identify which threshold was crossed instead of sending one generic temperature alarm. The sensor checks temperature every five minutes and restores after conditions move back beyond the documented recovery point.

Two CR2032 batteries power the unit, with battery status checked hourly. This is a fixed-threshold warning device rather than a live thermostat or precision data logger; Allied places it in a representative area away from furnace rooms, hot-water pipes, and localized heat sources that could distort the result.
