Description
The DSC PGP9986 sits directly where water is likely to collect, using conductive contacts around its low-profile base to recognize a leak. A built-in sounder provides immediate local feedback while the PowerG+ radio reports the condition to a compatible panel for the account’s configured alerts and monitoring response.
The same sensor can issue a freeze event at approximately 41 F on supported PowerG+ systems. Two CR2450 batteries are rated for up to five years of typical use, and the IP65 enclosure, tamper supervision, battery-level reporting, and OTA firmware support make the detector practical for indoor mechanical and appliance areas. Freeze reporting is not available when the unit falls back to a legacy PowerG-only panel.
Placed near a water heater, washing machine, HVAC drain, sink cabinet, or other known risk, a monitored water leak detector can turn a hidden drip into an actionable alert. Allied selects locations around the property’s plumbing and service access rather than scattering sensors where water is unlikely to reach them.
