Description
The current Qolsys IQ Shock Mini-S combines an accelerometer-based impact sensor and magnetic door/window contact in one compact housing. It can report an opening normally while also watching the protected surface for the vibration pattern of a forceful strike or attempted break-in.
Three shock-sensitivity thresholds let the installer tune the device to the mounting surface instead of accepting one fixed response. That makes it useful during an existing system takeover when doors or windows need stronger perimeter awareness without adding two separate transmitters at every opening.
The sensor uses S-Line encrypted 319.5 MHz signaling, two CR2032 batteries, and a documented five-year replacement interval. Correct sensitivity and firm surface mounting matter; Allied tests both opening and shock events after installation to reduce nuisance alarms while preserving useful detection.
