Honeywell Home 5822T Wireless Tilt Sensor Transmitter

The Honeywell Home 5822T monitors surfaces that move from vertical toward horizontal as they open, making it well suited to sectional garage doors and similar tilting applications. When the built-in tilt element moves to the alarm position, the transmitter sends its supervised 345 MHz signal to a compatible 5800-series control system.

Two independent loops add flexibility: Loop 3 reports the internal tilt sensor, while Loop 1 accepts an external normally closed wired contact. Either loop or both may be enrolled. The sensor installs vertically with its arrow pointing up, preferably near the top of the moving door, and can be mounted with the included double-sided tape or screws. Screws are required where temperatures can fall to 32 F or below.

For reliable garage door monitoring, Allied checks the full travel of the door, confirms that the sensor returns to its normal orientation when closed, and tests radio strength before final mounting. The compact CR123A-powered transmitter operates from -4 to 131 F and includes cover tamper and battery supervision.
