Description
The Honeywell Home 5819S combines a magnetic door or window contact with an omni-directional shock sensor, allowing one compact 345 MHz device to report both opening and forcible-impact activity. Four sensitivity settings and LED feedback help the installer tune the shock response to the construction and vibration characteristics of the protected opening.
Three wireless loops provide useful design flexibility: the built-in shock sensor is normally open, the reed switch works with the included magnet as a normally closed contact, and an auxiliary terminal accepts a third closed-circuit wired contact. Shock and reed faults can be reported separately or combined on one zone. Typical shock coverage is 10 to 12 feet total, or a 5- to 6-foot radius, although the actual pattern varies with the mounting surface.
Where an opening needs protection before it is fully breached, Allied can use the 5819S as a tuned shock sensor while retaining conventional open/close supervision.
