Description
The Honeywell Home 5815WG is made for indoor doors and windows where frame depth, trim, or normal movement makes a tight contact gap impractical. Its magnetic reed loop is rated for a gap greater than 1 inch, providing more installation tolerance than the standard 5815 while keeping the same compact 3 x 1.5 x 0.875-inch profile.
The transmitter also has a separate closed-circuit terminal loop for a compatible wired device. Either loop can be used independently, or both can be enrolled when the panel and application support that design. A supervised CR123A battery powers the 345 MHz radio, and the sensor reports tamper and low-battery conditions along with its regular supervisory check-ins.
In an Allied business security system, that extra gap can be especially useful on interior stockroom doors, utility spaces, and other openings whose alignment is not perfectly consistent.
