Description
The Honeywell Home 5815 is a compact two-zone transmitter for openings where a standard rectangular contact is difficult to align cleanly. Two internal reed-switch positions let the magnet approach from either an end or a side, giving the installer more freedom around narrow jambs, decorative trim, and unusual window geometry.
A separate closed-circuit input can carry the alarm from a compatible hardwired contact, while the magnetic loop continues to protect the nearby opening. The 5815 reports tamper, low-battery, and supervisory conditions over 345 MHz, uses a replaceable CR123A lithium battery, and measures 3 x 1.5 x 0.875 inches. Its listed magnet spacing is 0.5 inch, so alignment must be tested through the full movement of the door or window.
That combination is useful when one discreet radio location needs to solve more than a simple straight-on magnet placement. Allied verifies the selected reed orientation, any external closed-circuit wiring, and the correct loop enrollment at the panel.
