Description
The DSC WS4965 combines three independently enrolled zones in one wireless housing. Its primary zone can operate as a conventional reed-and-magnet contact or as a normally closed tilt sensor for an overhead door, while two additional inputs can connect supported normally closed hardwired contacts or dry-contact switches.
Each zone has a separate serial number and sends its own supervisory message, so the control panel can identify which input changed instead of treating the device as one generic alarm. The built-in reed contact supports a 1/2-inch maximum magnet gap, and tilt mode can add a one-minute transmission delay for doors that need extra entry time. A low-battery LED identifies the transmitter that needs service.
This is especially useful when Allied is expanding an existing DSC installation and nearby hardwired openings can share one 433 MHz path without losing zone identity.
