Description
The DSC EV-DW4917 places the wireless transmitter and rare-earth magnet inside a door or window frame, leaving only the small access caps visible when the opening is closed. This recessed design preserves clean sight lines in finished interiors without giving up supervised 433 MHz open/close reporting.
Included flanged and non-flanged access caps support either a screw-mounted or snug press-fit installation, and white and brown cap options help match surrounding trim. The replaceable CR2 battery is accessible through the cap rather than requiring the entire contact to be removed. Typical battery life is five to eight years, depending on use and radio conditions.
Recessed contacts require careful drilling and alignment, so Allied checks the frame material, opening clearances, and receiver strength before making permanent holes.
