Description
The Honeywell Home 5828 is a practical secondary keypad for a bedroom, back entry, home office, or other location where running a new control wire would be disruptive. Its fixed-word LCD and illuminated keys provide the familiar everyday commands needed to arm, disarm, check status, and use programmed emergency functions.
Three AA alkaline batteries support normal wireless operation, with a published battery life of about 18 months. For an always-active display, the optional 5828DM desk mount and regulated 5V power pack can place the keypad on a counter or table. Bidirectional 345 MHz communication keeps system status synchronized with a properly equipped LYNX or residential VISTA panel.
The 5828 is an add-on keypad, not the system’s primary programming interface.
