DSC PGP9920 PowerG+ Wireless Repeater

The DSC PGP9920 extends PowerG+ communication into parts of a property that the main control may not reach reliably on its own. Placed near the edge of a strong signal, it relays traffic between compatible sensors and the panel, making it useful for detached garages, deep floor plans, warehouses, and buildings with challenging construction materials.

This newer PowerG+ model adds dealer lockdown, two-factor enrollment, exact battery-percentage reporting, and over-the-air firmware updates when the panel supports those features. It can also enroll on standard PowerG systems in legacy fallback mode, so the same repeater can serve a broader installed base without misrepresenting PowerG+ functionality.

A rechargeable Li-ion battery keeps the repeater operating for up to 48 hours after AC power is lost, while front and back tamper detection and visible signal-quality indicators support a cleaner installation. In a professionally designed commercial security system, Allied uses placement testing to confirm the repeater is strengthening the route instead of simply adding another radio to the wall.
