Description
The DSC PG9WLSHW8 lets a compatible Qolsys IQ panel use existing hardwired detectors without replacing every door contact, motion sensor, smoke loop, and cable run. Eight onboard zones connect inside the cabinet, and two HSM2108 expansion slots can increase the hardwired total to 24 zones when the property needs more capacity.
The converter also provides four programmable outputs and support for up to eighteen compatible two-wire smoke detectors, plus four-wire smoke and carbon-monoxide devices. An 18V DC adapter powers the module, while an optional 12V 7Ah battery can provide backup operation. PowerG carries the converted zone events wirelessly to the control panel.
That makes the PG9WLSHW8 especially useful for an existing security system takeover where the field wiring remains valuable. Allied can map every circuit, identify resistor and detector requirements, test standby power and siren loading, then migrate the zones in a controlled sequence instead of treating the cabinet as a simple plug-in accessory.
