Description
The Alarm.com ADC-W110 bridges a compatible PoE camera to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network while supplying the camera’s power through the same Ethernet cable. It is useful when an outlet is available near the camera but running a new Ethernet line all the way back to the router would be impractical.
The plug-in bridge includes a 10/100 RJ45 port with IEEE 802.3af PoE output and supports 802.11 b/g/n wireless networking. WPS and access-point setup options simplify enrollment, while WEP, WPA, and WPA2 compatibility supports the required wireless environment. One device handles both camera power and the Wi-Fi connection, which keeps the local installation tidy.
As part of Allied’s camera installation options, the ADC-W110 can solve a specific retrofit challenge without changing the camera itself. It is a practical fit when the viewing location is right, power is nearby, and a direct network cable is not.
