Description
The Alarm.com ADC-SG130 Smart Gateway creates a dedicated Wi-Fi network for compatible Alarm.com cameras. It connects to the property’s router through Ethernet, then gives the video system its own managed 2.4 GHz wireless connection instead of placing cameras directly on the customer’s everyday Wi-Fi network.
That separation makes camera setup easier to support and helps the video devices stay connected when the customer changes the home Wi-Fi name, password, or internet provider. WPS streamlines camera enrollment, and remote management gives the service provider better visibility when troubleshooting. The gateway uses a 10/100 Ethernet WAN port and supports 802.11 b/g/n/ac on 2.4 GHz.
During Allied’s security camera installation, the ADC-SG130 can provide a more predictable connection for Wi-Fi cameras without asking the customer to redesign the rest of the network. It keeps the video connection purpose-built and easier to manage over time.
