Description
The Qolsys IQ Carbon watches for carbon monoxide with an electrochemical sensing element and remains active whether the intrusion system is armed or disarmed. A detected condition sounds the built-in 85 dB alarm and sends a wireless event to the compatible panel for local identification and supported monitoring response.
CO is colorless and odorless, so local detection around fuel-burning appliances, attached garages, and sleeping areas is an essential layer of protection. The detector includes a test button and status indication so routine system testing can verify the local sounder and panel communication path.
One CR123A lithium battery powers the unit across its documented 40 to 100 F operating range.
