Description
The Qolsys IQ Tilt-S reports the position of an overhead garage door without relying on a separate magnet mounted to the track or frame. A rolling internal tilt mechanism changes state as the top door panel moves, giving the security system a clear open-or-closed status.
That status can support alerts when the garage is left open and can add the largest moving opening on the home to the perimeter plan. Within an Allied home security system, it also gives the user a simple way to check the garage-door state from a supported connected service.
The sensor mounts horizontally on the top panel with its orientation arrow facing up. Correct orientation is essential to accurate reporting; Allied secures and tests the device through a complete open-close cycle, then verifies its encrypted 319.5 MHz signal at the panel.
