System Sensor 5601P 135 F Fixed/Rate-of-Rise Heat Detector

The System Sensor 5601P is a single-circuit mechanical heat detector for property-protection applications where dust, vapor, or normal airborne particles make a smoke detector inappropriate. It responds either when the fixed element reaches 135 F or when temperature rises approximately 15 F in one minute.

The rate-of-rise portion is restorable for field testing, while the fixed-temperature element is not. A dropped external collector makes an activated detector easier to identify during inspection. The plain white housing suits residential and light-commercial interiors, and a reversible bracket supports common single-gang, octagonal, and square back-box arrangements.

This detector is intended for property protection and is not a substitute for required life-safety smoke detection. Allied applies the listed spacing only after accounting for ceiling height, room conditions, local code, and the authority having jurisdiction. The normally open circuit and every detector location are tested before monitoring is activated.
