Bosch DS1101I Round Surface-Mount Glass Break Detector

The Bosch DS1101I uses microprocessor-based Sound Analysis Technology to recognize the frequency, signature, and timing relationships associated with breaking framed glass. Its round, low-profile housing mounts directly on a ceiling or on a wall opposite or adjacent to the protected window.

Standard coverage reaches up to 25 ft for qualifying plate, tempered, laminated, and wired glass measuring at least 12 x 12 in. A magnetic test mode works with the DS1110I tester to verify the location, and the built-in environmental test identifies background sounds that could create false-alarm risk. The end user can also clap near the unit to confirm that it is powered and listening. A Form C relay and separate cover-tamper terminals provide flexible supervised wiring.

In storefronts, offices, or other glass-heavy spaces, Allied can incorporate the detector into a commercial security system without treating acoustic range as a simple radius. Curtains, absorptive finishes, nearby air outlets, and the farthest glass corner are checked before the detector is permanently mounted.
