Description
The DSC WS4936 combines photoelectric smoke sensing with fixed-temperature and rapid-rise heat detection in one wireless device. The North American model alarms at a 135 F heat threshold and can also respond to a rapid temperature increase, giving a compatible DSC system more than one way to identify a developing fire condition.
Automatic drift compensation helps the smoke chamber maintain its intended sensitivity as dust accumulates, and the detector reports a trouble condition when compensation reaches its limit. A removable chamber simplifies service, while a local test/hush button, status LEDs, and an 85 dB horn support testing and on-site annunciation. Three AAA batteries provide about three years of typical operation, and the detector has a recommended ten-year service life.
When used within Allied’s monitored smoke detection, placement, 433 MHz signal quality, panel programming, local sound, and transmitted alarms are tested as one system.
