Description
The Honeywell Home 5818MNL places the transmitter and magnetic reed switch inside the frame, leaving little visible hardware when the door or window is closed. Its tapered 0.75-inch-diameter body fits a 3-inch-deep recess and is especially useful where trim details, furniture, or the finished appearance make a surface transmitter undesirable.
The supplied magnet must remain within the listed 0.5-inch make distance, and the transmitter uses a replaceable AAA lithium battery rather than requiring the sensor to be discarded at end of battery life. It communicates at 345 MHz, operates from 32 to 122 F in non-condensing indoor conditions, and carries FCC, IC, and cULus agency listings.
