Honeywell Home 5800SS1 Wireless Glass-Mount Shock Sensor

The Honeywell Home 5800SS1 detects the shock energy transmitted through a protected pane rather than listening for breaking-glass audio across the room. That direct-glass approach makes it useful in kitchens, bathrooms, skylight areas, occupied spaces, and other acoustically difficult locations where an acoustic detector may be harder to place reliably.

A supplied 3M adhesive pad mounts the sensor one inch from a corner of the frame, and no sensitivity adjustment is required. One 5800SS1 is used per pane, with listed coverage up to a 10-foot radius for plate, laminated, wired, sealed insulated, coated, and tempered glass up to 1/4 inch thick. The final location must be tested from the farthest opposite corner after the glass is cleaned and the adhesive has been applied correctly.

The 1.6-inch square housing communicates with supported Honeywell Home 5800-series systems and runs on one replaceable CR2 lithium battery. Its 0 to 130 F rating supports varied indoor environments, while the glass-mounted format keeps protection local to the pane that actually needs it.
