The Honeywell Home 5800PIR-RES provides straightforward indoor motion protection for living rooms, offices, hallways, and other open areas. Its passive infrared pattern reaches 35 x 40 feet, while the listed 80-pound pet-immunity setting helps the sensor distinguish normal floor-level pet movement from activity that should be reported to the alarm panel.
Installation is intentionally simple: there are no sensitivity jumpers or DIP switches to configure, and the automatic walk test runs for ten minutes after power-up before returning to battery-saving operation.
