Description
The Honeywell Home 5816OD takes 5800-series opening protection outdoors. Its NEMA 4X water-resistant enclosure is designed for gates, sheds, detached garages, pool enclosures, rural mailboxes, and weather-exposed equipment, with an operating range from -40 to 150 F and 100 percent relative-humidity capability under the manufacturer’s stated conditions.
Two independently programmable zones expand the ways it can be used. The built-in reed switch works with the supplied magnet, while a separate normally closed loop can supervise an outdoor-rated pull-apart contact or another compatible device up to the installation limits. The listed magnet gap is 1.75 inches on wood and other non-metal surfaces or 1.25 inches on steel. Two AA lithium batteries, cover and rear tamper detection, and screw or strap mounting support demanding locations.
Allied can fold the 5816OD into a property’s security equipment plan for either residential or commercial perimeter coverage. The opening is exercised repeatedly after mounting so gate movement, steel, weather seals, and cable routing do not create an unreliable zone.
