DSC PG9905 PowerG Wireless Temperature Detector

The DSC PG9905 turns abnormal temperature into a supervised security-system event. Four selectable thresholds support high-temperature, low-temperature, refrigerator, and freezer applications, making one compact device useful across residences, offices, storage rooms, and equipment areas.

Its internal sensor covers environments from -4 to 122 F. An optional PGTEMP-PROBE extends the sensing point into wet or colder locations and can measure from approximately -22 to 158 F while the transmitter stays in a suitable indoor position. A CR123A battery provides up to seven years of typical service, with encrypted two-way PowerG communication and panel-reported tamper, low-battery, and supervision status.

Allied can place the detector around a freezer, wine room, server closet, medication refrigerator, or mechanical space and program the alarm threshold around what the customer actually needs to protect. The final alert path should be tested at the panel, app, and monitoring level, because a temperature reading is only useful when it reaches the right person in time.
